Latvian fashion model Laura Pakhomova jumped out of the window after her family became aware that she was engaged in prostitution.
An ex-boyfriend told her family about Laura’s secret life. Shortly before the suicide, Pakhomova sent out letters to everyone, admitting that she had lost her mind. Police officers found on the walls, mirrors and furniture a huge amount of inscriptions in which the girl blamed her former lover for her death.
In the messages sent by Laura to family members, she apologized for her mistakes, admitted that nothing could save her body and soul, asked her relatives to take care of themselves.
Pakhomova’s body analysis showed a negative drug test. However, it was found that she threatened the ex-boyfriend with suicide if he told her relatives about her "night" activities. The interrogation of her boyfriend, Martina Riley, showed that the young man had told Laura’s relatives about her true occupation with the sole purpose that they could save her. Due to insufficient evidence of Riley’s guilt, he was released. Although it turned out that several years ago, Martin showed similar cruelty to another prostitute — he began to meet with her, and then informed her family about the true type of activity of their daughter.
