On Wednesday morning at New York Fashion Week, actress Katie Holmes unveiled her first line of designer clothing, Holmes & Yang. The celebrity created the collection together with her friend and designer Jeanne Young.

Fashion editors and critics praised the work of Katie and Jeanne. The New York Times said, "All this is very similar to Katie." Women's Wear Daily gave good reviews, writing "She follows in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who are the most successful celebrities in fashion at the mass level."

The Los Angeles Times called the collection "sensitively relaxed" and added: "There is no reason to think that this line will not develop further." Vogue UK editors praised the presence of "smart details": "Holmes & Yang created outfits that would be welcome and in demand."

Katie Holmes arrived at the scene quite early. She was dressed in black trousers and a white blouse, and threw a leather jacket on top.

This show was unusual for New York Fashion Week. This time, female models, demonstrating designer clothes, simply stood still, and guests walked around them and lingered only where they were interested.

Holmes commented: "This method is more suitable for the clothes we sell." In addition, she added that she is confident in the success of her collection, and is not afraid to get a negative response from critics. And so it happened.
