After restoration, the Triumphal Arch was solemnly opened in the capital on September 4. The opening ceremony of the Arch was dedicated to the great victory in the Patriotic War of 1812.

The monument represents the strong-willed, patriotic spirit of the Russian people, who are ready to defend the borders of their beloved homeland at the cost of their lives.

At the long-awaited opening, S. Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, as well as Prime Minister D. Medvedev walked through the arches and congratulated the people present on a significant event.

After a long restoration, the Arc de Triomphe acquired its original appearance, taking into account some transformations. Specialists were able to completely recreate the monument, which is the real cultural heritage of the Russian Federation.

Initially, the historical building was created on the Tverskaya Zastava Square, and subsequently, in 1966-1968, it was forced to be "transferred" to Poklonnaya Gora.

At the ceremony, the mayor told Muscovites that the Russian authorities were planning to deal closely with the construction of a viewing platform in the upper part of the arch.
